Foundation: ‘Bauernhoftiere’ (Farm Animals)

Foundation students have been learning about farm animals in German.

They have also been enjoying singing and dancing to a new German song called ‘Tschu tschu wa’.

Here is the link for the song for you to enjoy at home with your child:

Levels 1 – 4:

Over the last couple of weeks, students have completed an assessment task ‘Alles über mich’ (All about me), which will be sent home at the end of Term 2 in their ‘My Learning’ folder.

Levels 5 – 6:

Similarly students in Levels 5 and 6 have completed a ‘Wer bin ich?’ (Who am I?) assessment task, for which they had to write a paragraph about themselves in German. Following on from their written work, students were then required to listen to the ‘Who am I?’ descriptions of their classmates as a listening comprehension task, and attempt to correctly identify each of their classmates from their written clues and descriptions.

The ’Who am I?’ assessment tasks will also be sent home in the ‘My Learning’ folder at the end of Term 2 for your child to share with you.
