National Families Week - 15 - 21 May 2023

This year's theme for National Families Week is Living Real Dreaming Big. It is so important that we celebrate what constitutes family, whatever that may look like for each of us. Family is fundamental to our children's development and nourishment. This week your children will have brought home a bookmark/prayer card and I encourage you all to pray the prayer together to mark National Families Week.

SPaR

For those new to our school, SPaR (Stop, Pray and Reflect)  it is a 10 - 15 minute parent and carer prayer session, held roughly each fortnight which gives us the opportunity to be still and allow the presence of God to work in his mysterious ways. Some weeks it may go for a bit longer if there is an activity attached, however, I will notify when this is the case via the newsletter. Our next SPaR for Term 2 will be Monday 29th May, 2023 at 9am in the Parish Centre and the theme is Pentecost - Heart Felt.. Please join us if you have 10 - 15 minutes to spare.

SpaR Term 2

…Pray about everything.

Tell God what you need and Thank Him for all he has done.

If you do this, the peace of God which surpasses all understanding,

Will guard your hearts and your minds….Phil 4:6-7

Month of May - Month of Mary

May is the month of Mary and is a great opportunity to pay homage to her by praying the rosary. There are several events on, throughout the month. See below for more details.

Maximus Men’s Ministry

Maximus Men’s Ministry host the Men’s Rosary Crusade on the first Saturday of every month in the forecourt of St Mary’s Cathedral. As a man, if you have never prayed the rosary, this is a good way to start. You will be surprised how many men join in the brotherhood and  participate in this every month.

This is a good group!

The Sydney Centre for Evangelisation coordinates Men’s Groups in various suburbs across Sydney. If you are looking for fellowship and brotherhood, scan the QR code below to find out where your nearest group is located and when they meet.

St Margaret Mary’s Playgroup

The St Margaret Mary’s Playgroup will run every Tuesday morning from Term 2 from 9am - 10:30am. If you have children starting at St Margaret Mary’s in 2024 or beyond, please join us. Spread the word as there may be new families in our community who are unaware we have a playgroup at the school.

Go gently, every blessing,
