Around The Primary

Dear Parents,

The Years 3-6 students gathered together this morning to celebrate Mass in our beautiful Chapel. Ms Allen and Mrs Haydon prepared this beautiful liturgy in honour of all the Saints and Fr Rodrigo shared some lovely words about Saints.

Our students were reverent throughout the liturgy and prayed together for all the saints who have inspired us, especially St Ignatius Loyola and St John XXIII. As it is the Feast of All Souls on Monday, we also kept in our prayers the souls of Christians who have died.

On Thursday morning we were greeted with beautiful sunshine for our Junior Primary Athletics Carnival. Congratulations to all our Kindy, Pre-Primary, Year One and Year Two students for participating so enthusiastically in the races and team games.

We are very proud of the students’ efforts and achievements, however even more importantly, we focus on developing our young children’s growing understanding of what it means to be part of a team; of representing a House by showing good sportsmanship, of being gracious in defeat, as well as, celebrating the success of others.

A sincere thank you to Mr Williams, staff and our Year 6 House Captains for their hard work on the day and also to families who were able to come along.

Enjoy the weekend!

Kind regards,

Antoinette De Pinto

Year 6 Confirmation Retreat

Last Friday the Year 6 students participated in a Confirmation Retreat. The day was run by 24:7 School Ministry group.  It was a fun and educational experience. We took part in various activities that had a connection to the Sacrament of Confirmation. Some of these activities included Formations, Bingo and Picture Matching. Overall, we learnt that receiving the gifts of the Holy Spirit is amazing and something we should all look forward to.

Sports Update

Junior Primary Athletics Carnival

What a fantastic day!  I was so impressed with the effort of every student and it was extremely pleasing to see everyone having a go with a smile on their face.  It was great to see so many parents cheering our amazing Junior Primary students.  Special thank you to all the parents who helped out at the finishing time.

Friday Soccer

We have begun our new soccer program on Friday afternoons with the very professional coaches from J & J.  It was a perfect balance of fun, skill development and learning to be a good sportsman.  There are places for more primary students to join for the rest of the term, please email me if you are interested.
