Thank You
We would like to thank Kylie Carville for giving up her time to share her journey and expertise through COVID-19. It was an informative evening that was enjoyed by all who attended. It was an incredible experience to hear the story of the beginnings of COVID-19, Australia’s response and the ‘where to’ next by an Epidemiologist who has been working tirelessly throughout the pandemic. We would like to thank the Education Sub Committee for organising the event and Augusta for hosting the evening. We hope Kylie will be able to get a relaxing holiday at the end of this! Bring on the vaccine.
Transition 2021 at Newlands in photos
All our grade F-5 students were involved in a transition morning on Friday 13th November.
It was great to actually have our 2021 Foundation students at Newlands this week. We really enjoyed seeing their happy faces joining with other students.
Remember we will be holding a special morning where students will be assigned to grades and have an opportunity to meet their 2021 teacher.
Covid - 19 Protocols
Thank-you to our community for respecting the current Covid-19 protocols around drop off, pick up and entering the school. I would like to thank those parents who complied with the early pick times by collecting their child/ren during breaks - lunch and recess. It makes such a difference for us and the admin staff.
House names - update
It was great to catch with the 4-6 students and teachers and explore options to create house names that uniquely reflect our schools values and will give students ownership and pride to be a member of whatever house names they will eventually become for 2021 and onwards.
Calendar/SENTRAL
As we come ever closer to the end of the year we need to keep on top of dates. The calendar in the newsletter is always up to date on the day it is published. However sometimes the Sentral calendar is added during newsletter publications. We would strongly urge parents to watch both calendars for announcements and special dates between now and the end of the year.
Remembrance Day
