If you, a family member or friend would like a Lit Week 2020 - Lectio Vita Est T-shirt (limited available) for just $15, use the order and payment method sent on the Operoo (formerly CareMonkey) letter. T-shirts can be picked up from the front office next day.
What is Lit Week 2020 - Lectio Vita Est?
St. Joseph’s College inaugural Lit Week 2020 - Lectio Vita Est will be held October 19-22.
Lit Week 2020 - Lectio Vita Est is a week dedicated to creating a positive culture around reading and literacy for young adults and their families/carers in the College community.
Reading is about the skill, the will, and the thrill - the skill to read; the will to read; and the thrill from reading. Lit Week 2020 - Lectio Vita Est is about encouraging and role modelling all three for students and taking families/carers on that journey.
29 staff members have volunteered their time as either Crew or Emissaries, giving their support to the aims of the Week through providing a video each talking about an anecdote or insight into their personal reading journey, taking part in promotion of the Week, and talking to students at every opportunity about the importance of reading and literacy in their lives.
