Student Awards

The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award

Congratulations to our 2017 Year 9 Advance students who received their Duke of Edinburgh’s (Dukes) Award Bronze Certificate in 2018.

“The Duke of Edinburgh's program was a great experience, especially since we were able to meet a lot of different people and had the chance to help in vast areas of our community. It was amazing at how close we got by the end of the year. We had built so much trust in each other throughout the program and its activities. Even after the whole program, we still reminisce of the memories we made, and we all wish we could do it again!” Kathryn Chenh & Dea Vidovic (Year 10)

Spark Engineering – a Youth Without Borders Initiative

“I am lost for words to describe how I felt during the time I spent at SPARK; all I can say is, it was extraordinary. My favourite activity was all the building and constructing, especially with the wave simulator. I learnt what it takes to become an engineer and the university courses offered. I will miss the jokes that were made, all the songs we danced to, annoying the heck out of each other with mind games, and of course the singing.”  Charlie Vo 10D

Earthwatch Institute Student Challenge

“This was a fantastic opportunity because I am passionate about environmental science. I was able to work closely with the scientists and students who share my interests.” Nicole Lai (Year 12)

“I enjoyed the journey very much. I made new friends and learnt about the living things that dwell in desert and how scientists are trying to save them. I would recommend Earthwatch to those who love nature and are passionate about conservation.” Thinh Luong (Year 12)
