Flora & Fauna

The Level 3 students have all now completed their first rotation so this week we began Rotation 2.

COOKING: The students will be making Apple and Cinnamon Scrolls with Mrs O’Keefe in the Gallery for our second Cooking rotation this term. Please check in to this page in our next newsletter for photos! The smells emanating from the Gallery have been mouth-watering!

GARDENING: With the support of Patty (Mr O’Neil) students donned gloves and worked hard to maintain our beautiful grounds and garden beds. Students will be involved in raking, digging, planting and harvesting throughout the year.

SUSTAINABILIY: Our second Sustainability rotation enables students to engage with the topic ‘War on Waste’. Students will be investigating ways we can be more sustainable at school, at home and in general. Students will explore ways of reducing waste by using biodegradable products and composting.

SCIENCE: ‘Healthy Eating Healthy Living’ is the topic for our second rotation in Science. The students will be learning about different foods and how these are grouped to support healthy lifestyles. Students will be investigating grains, fruits, vegetables, meat & meat products, dairy (and alternatives), pulses and more.
