Year 8 Ball

How wonderful it has been to welcome the return of so many of our school traditions this year, after COVID forced the cancellation of so many gatherings in 2020 and 2021.

Our much-loved Year 8 Ball took place last Thursday evening in the College Oak Centre and was the most joy-filled occasion. It brought us great delight to see so many families and students come together in our school grounds to dance the night away.

The Year 8 Ball is a long-held St Joseph’s College tradition - a rite of passage if you like for this cohort of students as they embark on their middle school years.

It also forms the final part of their assessment for the dance unit in PE, and is a chance for the students to showcase the skills, both social and physical, that they’ve been learning throughout the year.

The student & parent dances were a crowd favorite, providing plenty of entertainment for one and all.

Many thanks to our team of organisers, led by Shari Gotch, for staging a very special evening for our students and their families.
