Grade 6 Graduation 2022

To our amazing graduating class of 2022,

What a year it has been! I believe that the Grade 6 class, the leaders among the student body, have had a huge role to play in shaping the culture and tone of our school community. It is safe to say that this school has been very lucky to have you as their leaders this past year, myself included. As a new principal in the school, you made me feel welcome, taught me about your traditions and values, showed me all the things that the Moreland PS family have to be proud of, and most of all set the direction for your peers who all looked up to you as leaders.

Graduation was a lovely evening and it was great to see students, staff and families celebrate the wonderful event with each other.  A lot of work went into the planning and organisation of the event and everyone had a great night.  A big thank you to Bec Ostberg and Chris Carfi, the 5/6 team, DJ Costa, Carley and Sengul for taking photos and our staff for all their work.

To all our students, here the future is where you will spend most of your lives. The real power of creating and being responsible for your own future is unlimited. You will hopefully experience enormous joy in creating this journey for yourself and enjoy the benefits of it too. There will be challenges ahead however when you are determined to succeed you will make the right choices for you!

As you transition to this next phase of your education, please remember the things you have learned and relationships you have built during your years at Moreland PS.  This place and these people will always be a part of who you are, and what shaped you into the strong, kind, and wonderful humans we are sending off on this new adventure. It has been my honor to be a part of your final year at this school.

Congratulations graduating class of 2022, you did it! You will be missed greatly, and will always be a part of this family.
