PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Lindy Burke

Last Thursday night was our Grade 6 Graduation Ceremony. It was fabulous to finally return the Moama Bowling Club after the many COVID restrictions over the last couple of years. The Level 4 staff did a wonderful job in the organisation of the night and preparation of our Graduates. Our Graduates spoke with confidence and passion as they shared their thoughts and memories on their time while at Echuca East. An absolute credit to all, as these were some of the best heart-felt speeches I have witnessed. So to our Grade 6 students, we wish you all the very best, as you start the next exciting stage of your educational journey and always remember my little tips for success, thanks to “Elmer.”

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, our families, for your continued support and dedication to our Echuca East Primary School community and wish you all a wonderful Christmas. However you choose to celebrate the season, all at Echuca East wish you a safe and restful break, and we look forward to seeing you in the new year.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all our families who are leaving Echuca East this year, a heart-felt thank you for their interest shown in supporting their child/rens education over the years. It is always so very sad to say goodbye, as we think of you all as family. But as we say to our staff and students… “Once and Eastie Always an Eastie.”

Thank you and Farewell to:

Janine Hill and Shirley Mangiameli who have made the big decision to retire from teaching and Echuca East after many, many, many years sharing their expertise and talents to both students and staff. We wish them all the very best in their retirement. It is their time to pop their feet up, relax and enjoy their precious family that surrounds them both.   They will  be missed every single day by many, I am sure.
