Miss Nguyen (Far Right) and friends!

Why I love teaching: I wanted to be a teacher because I have been taught by some amazing teachers. In primary school, I had teachers who were kind and supportive. In high school, I was taught by passionate and motivated teachers.

Fun fact: I love listening to music. I can listen to music all day if I had the chance! I love all genres of music from pop to rock. My class and I enjoy listening to music when we complete some of our more creative tasks.

Strengths and Talents: What are your talents and strengths

I asked 6B what my talents and strengths were and listen them below:

“Amazing teacher” Maya

“Kind and friendly” Tom

“Neat freak” Khoi

“Pretty” Ariannah

“Nice hair” Iman

“Loves animals” Grace

If I was in charge for a day, I would love for all the grade 6 students to be in charge. They could survey students and organise an event for the school. It would be great to see all the students step up and take on leadership roles.

Miss McMahon in 1A and our Learning Specialist

Why I love teaching: Teaching is a very rewarding career. Every day I learn as much from my students as they learn from me. It is amazing to see the growth in every student as the year progresses. It is exciting when a student can go across the monkey bars for the first time or builds up the courage to tell a joke to their peers. Teaching is a career that really matters!

Fun fact: As much as I find veggies delicious, I always have a packet of chocolate bullets beside my bed and panic if I ever run out.

Strengths and Talents: I can complete jigsaw puzzles in pretty good record time and can criss cross with a skipping rope (until I run out of breath).  A strength of mine would be I love working in a team and I always try to put myself in the shoes of others to try to understand their perspective.

If I was in charge of the school for a day I would adopt a beagle from Freedom Beagle Rescue as the Sunny Heights mascot and then the entire school would go on an excursion to a Chocolate Factory!
