School Sport Vic Team  

Lilydale High School are thrilled to the announcement that 4 of our students have been selected to represent Team VIC at the 2023 School Sport Australia Competition:

  • Hunter Ryan: AFL (15yr)
  • Tasha Holly: Basketball (16yr)
  • Tia Crossland: AFL (12yr)
  • Georgia Gow: Spring & Platform Diving (13yr)

The future is very exciting for these young athletes! We wish them the best of luck at the upcoming National SSA Competitions in July/August.

EIS Intermediate Basketball

On Wednesday 24 May, our Intermediate EIS Basketball students competed in the Victorian College Championships.

 

Tough competition saw mixed results. The girls went down in the semi-final, while the boys' missed finals.

 

Well done to all players for a great day!

Senior Girls Netball

Congratulations to all the students who participated in the Yarra Division Senior Girls Netball on, Tuesday 24 May.  They all played some fantastic netball, with Lilydale finishing 1st, 2nd and 4th overall.

 

A huge thanks to Ms Knight for helping coach and Ms Marshall for convening the day!

Year 7 Football

Well done to the 49 Year 7 Footballers who competed in the Yarra Division Football at Pinks Reserve on Wednesday 31 May.

 

We fielded 2 teams, with both teams making it through to play an all Lilydale HS GRAND FINAl.

 

The White team managed to win the grand final and will now progress through to the Eastern Region Finals on Tuesday 20 June.

Year 7 Girls Netball

Wednesday 31 May

Congratulationsto the Year 7 Girls A 1 team who have made it through to the EMR Region finals day!  A very talented team that were undefeated on the day!

 

Congratulations also to our A 2 team that won the B Division Section.  Our B team finished fourth for the day.  Some wonderful netball played.

Worawa Reconciliation Sports Carnival

Well done to the LHS EIS Netball and Basketball students who represented the school in the Worawa Reconciliation Sports Carnival on Tuesday 30 May.

 

The day began with a Welcome to Country Smoking Ceremony which included a walk through the Dreaming Trail.

 

Congratulations to the EIS Basketballers who won the 3 x 3 competition, with Talesha O'Kane (Year 10) winning tournament MVP.

 

Well done to EIS Netball Team 2, for making through to the finals and finishing 4th on the day!

 

Thank you to Worawa Aboriginal College for organising a wonderful sports carnival.

Senior Basketball

On Wednesday 7 June, our Senior Basketball students competed in the Yarra Division competition. We took 7 teams in total out to compete on the day.

 

Both the boys and the girls WON the GRAND FINALS, with the girls competing against another Lilydale team.
