Literacy News 

We look forward to welcoming our F - 2 students back to on site school learning, as our 3 - 6 students continue the wonderful job of learning remotely.  

Thank you Corinna for bringing this to our attention on behalf of Australia Post. ‘Dear Australia’ encourages all Australians to take a moment to reflect on their experience of the COVID-19 pandemic.  It is a momentous and historical occasion which I hope to involve all students at St Fidelis. Letters will be written by our students, sent to Australia Post and archived by The National Archives of Australia.  These letters will be reflections of  our experience during isolation. A form will be sent out next week for parents to give permission for students to submit their letters. It's an exciting opportunity to be part of history and another form of writing for our students to be part of, with an authentic audience and purpose. 

The authors of the popular picture books, ‘The Gruffalo’ have put out a story using the main character, the Gruffalo and based it on COVID- 19. It's a short picture book story that we can  all access for free. It’s a lovely short read.
