Primary News

Week 4

I pray that your household is well.  Since the start of the term, I have been able to teach a number of Primary classes.  This has been really rewarding.  I have enjoyed seeing the growth in student learning over this time.  I have also found it very positive spending lunch times with groups of students.  It is wonderful to discover what is happening in the lives of students, not just at school.

Outdoor Primary Assembly
Outdoor Primary Assembly

As you would have seen on Dojo, Primary assemblies have recommenced.  The students and staff have welcomed this change.  Unfortunately, parents and family members are not yet able to join us.  We will keep you updated through Dojo and notify you when restrictions are lifted.

Starting next Thursday, Mr Alex Penny will be teaching Primary Music.  He takes over from Mrs Elly Sands who is enjoying her time at home with little Finn David Sands.   Our Congratulations to both Scott and Elly on their new addition to the family.

Mr Penny visited the school today and had a wonderful time meeting staff and students.  He has a range of experience with various instruments.  However, he is most passionate about choir.

For those parents who drop their children off at Gollan Ave or from the Anglican Church carpark, please note that the gates will now close at 9:00am and re-open at 3:00pm.  The change is based on staff availability and timetables. If students arrive late, please enter the school via East Tce.  We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

I look forward to seeing how the students progress over the next two weeks.

Enjoy your weekend!

Deputy Principal
