Water Safety Program 2020

Our Reception-Year 5 students were scheduled to participate in the Department of Education Water Safety  Program at Noarlunga Leisure Centre in Week 1 (20/7-24/7) of Term 3.

Due to Covid-19, all swimming centres were closed and have now re-opened with restrictions to the general public, but not to schools. Due to this the Water Safety Program will be cancelled for this year.

Year 7 To High School

Primary and high schools are working hard to plan for the move of Yr 7 to high school in 2022. If your child is in Yr 5 or 6 this year, they will be graduating from primary school next year. Primary schools are thinking now about how to make your child's last year in primary school a positive experience.

High school planning is also in full swing to welcome Yr 7 and 8s together in 2022.

Primary and high schools are working together at every level to make the move a success for your child.

Stay engaged with your school to keep updated with the lastest information.

Head Lice

Please check your child's/children's hair regularly for any signs of head lice.  If lice or eggs are found please advise the school, and treat the child's hair with an appropriate head lice treatment.  Please check all family members' hair. Students are not to return to school until all lice and eggs have been removed.

Parents must also sign a declaration stating their child has been treated.

Please advise staff in the Front Office when you have treated your child for head lice.

It is also necessary to wash any hats, including school hats and bedding that your child has been in contact with.

With your assistance of regularly checking your child's hair we can reduce the incidence of head lice at our school.

Early Arrival at School

Students are not to arrive at school before 8:20am as the gates do not open until 8:30am and staff are not on duty to supervise until this time.

A number of students have been at school unsupervised before 8:00am. This is a potential safety issue. OSHC is available before school, please contact Jacky on 0437198833 to arrange care for your child/children.

Lost Property

Please check the Lost Property boxes located in each Teaching Unit for any property which may belong to your child/children.

It is recommended that all items brought to school eg hat, jumper, bag, etc are clearly labelled with your child's name so that they can be returned if found.
