Stress Busting for Exams and SACs

Year 11 exams will commence soon, so here are some top tips for managing stress before and during exams and SACs

  1. When overwhelmed, stop and BREATHE- taking a couple of minutes to take some slow breaths can help refocus your attention, as it counteracts the body’s stress response.
  2. Take regular BREAKS- breaks are an essential part of your study schedule. Taking regular breaks can improve the quality of your study, making it much more beneficial than working straight through.
  3. SLEEP- you consolidate information during sleep, so getting a good night’s sleep before an exam can help you retain information, as well as help you think more clearly during the exam
