Stress Busting for Exams and SACs
Year 11 exams will commence soon, so here are some top tips for managing stress before and during exams and SACs
- When overwhelmed, stop and BREATHE- taking a couple of minutes to take some slow breaths can help refocus your attention, as it counteracts the body’s stress response.
- Take regular BREAKS- breaks are an essential part of your study schedule. Taking regular breaks can improve the quality of your study, making it much more beneficial than working straight through.
- SLEEP- you consolidate information during sleep, so getting a good night’s sleep before an exam can help you retain information, as well as help you think more clearly during the exam
