SENIOR SCHOOL NEWS

Sarah Bridges

Senior Sub-School Manager

The first term of 2019 has now come to a close and we hope all those undertaking their VCE or VCAL studies enjoy a well deserved break. Many students will still have lots of studying to do; however, now is a good time to remind all of our hard working senior school students to make sure they take the opportunity to rest and recharge ready to tackle Term Two.

A reminder about senior school expectations:

  • As we come into the colder months of winter it is important students remember to wear their correct uniform. In particular, hoodies are not part of NGSC uniform and we encourage students to make sure they have appropriate winter clothing.
  • P.E. uniform is only to be worn on days when practical P.E. classes are being taken and or when there are excursions that may require this uniform to be worn
  • Please remember to provide a note for your child if there are any issues regarding uniform or lateness to school
  • A reminder that medical certificates will need to be presented if students are unwell and unable to attend school.

Senior School Term Two Important Dates:

  • The VCE Parents meeting will take place Tuesday, 30 April. This is for parents with students in VCE and we will cover a whole variety of topics including SACs, ATAR, S and N, etc.
  • Year 11 & 12 exams will arrive fast and are scheduled to take place in week 8 of Term Two.

National Youth Science Forum

The National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) applications are now open. It's a 12 day residential program/camp that runs in January for students between Year 11 and 12 who intend to follow a science pathway. Make sure you see Ms Perin or Mr Lawless for more information.
