In this Career Newsletter there are some great tips on what you can do while you are at home. Take some time to explore some of the sites and get “out” without leaving your house.

Due to the current situation with the Coronavirus, JMSS have decided to CANCEL all work experience placements up until the September School Holidays.

If students have found a placement themselves they will need to notify their employer that the placement has been cancelled. If students have found a placement through me, Ms Carter, then I will cancel the placement.

Placements during the September School holidays and afterwards are currently going ahead but this may change depending on the situation.

***Year 10 Students are not required to find a work experience placement. Please do not try to find a placement in this current situation.

All University and TAFE seminars and information sessions for the next few months have been postponed. Many have switched to online sessions and virtual tours. If you have registered to participate in any program or were planning on attending any event please check on the organisations website for alternate arrangements.

If you have any questions please feel free to email Ms Carter, kirstine.carter@jmss.vic.edu.au. You can also come and see me anytime. The Careers area can be found on the ground floor near the stairs under Flannery House. Ms Carter is at school every day during the school term.

Happy Reading!!

Cheers

Ms Carter
