House Cross Country
The Year 7 House Cross Country was once again closely contested and provided one of the most spectacular finishes we have seen in many years.
The boys set out on the grueling 3km, course which tackled the sands of Mentone beach and the lung burning climb up McBeen’s ramp, only to have a few seconds separate our final placings.
Well done to Nikolas Atsis on taking out this year’s race, just beating Liam Higgins in a final, desperate sprint for the finish.
The top 10 results below indicate what a great race it was.
Well done to all those who tackled the course. We look forward to seeing many of you at Cross Country training in the weeks to come.

Pi Day
On Friday 21 July the Year 7 level participated in Pi Day. Each homeroom was split up into multiple groups and interacted in different maths based activities. There were 4 activities in total which included an amazing race, general knowledge quiz plus maths problem solving tasks and more. For each of these activities you received points for your homeroom. These activities required a team effort and contribution from everyone in your group. All the Year 7 maths teachers were involved in the day and on behalf of all students we would like to thank them all for making it so interesting and such fun. At the end of the day it was 7.5 who took out the Maths Activity Day trophy as the winning homeroom for 2017.
