Year 10 Camp

What an exciting, thrilling adventure this camp was.  As soon as we had arrived at Camp Tandara in the Grampians national park, we were put straight into action with a hike on the Boronia mountain, the first walk that we were to experience on this 5-day trip.  It was what you would expect from a mountain with many upwards and downhill areas but once we had reached the peak all the walking felt like nothing, the view was magnificent.  Once we had arrived back at camp and had dinner, we had prepared ourselves with torches for the night walk.  Yet again another experience which I did not expect to enjoy, but after travelling across wet rocks where many had slipped, we had finally reached the destination for star gazing, however, because of the walk it had felt so much more rewarding compared to just looking up at the stars.

The next two days consisted of a hike through the Pinnacles as well as going out to Lake Bellfield where we enjoyed canoeing even though the water was freezing.  Alongside this we had an all-day tour of hiking through hollow mountain where we had the option to undergo challenges that needed a strong mental attitude.  After the all-day tour, we had a barbeque and visited Beehive falls before going back to camp where we had trivia and movie nights.  Finally, on the last day before we left we had walked through popular tourists spots where we took photos of the mountains from the Balconies and visited yet another mesmerising waterfall- Mackenzie falls.

The camp was an amazing experience.
