Year 7 Girls Cricket
On Wednesday 16 November, the Year 7 Girls Super 8’s Cricket team headed to Berwick to compete in the State Semi-finals for MILO T20 Blast Cricket Competition.
The girls displayed an excellent level of team work and sportsmanship from the beginning of the day.
After winning their first match, they quickly rose in confidence. The matches to follow were against quality opposition, but the girls rallied together to win both and progress through to the final for the chance to play on the MCG.
Despite being a player down for 2 overs, when Sarah Allsopp jarred her thumb in an amazing 6 run saving fielding effort, the girls held strong. Sarah was back for the batting innings, and in an extraordinary batting display, she put on 3 double-run boundaries to secure the lead.
With strong bowling all day from Charli Granville, and a great all-round team fielding effort, the girls were thrilled to win the final and progress through to the State Finals.
They will play on the MCG on Wednesday 30 November. We wish them the best of luck!

Year 9/10 Boys Cricket
Next Wednesday 30 November, the Intermediate Boys Cricket team (Year 9/10) will be competing in the 'State Final MILO T20 Blast School Cup'.
After coming through the Yarra and Eastern Regions undefeated, we will now face St Joseph's College at the home of cricket, the MCG. With any luck, we will get the job done and return as STATE CHAMPIONS for 2016.
Good luck boys!
