Probability Fair

The second annual Lilydale High School Probability Fair was held on Wednesday 16 to Friday 18 November.

All Year 8 students worked feverishly over the previous couple of weeks to create probability games to be played at the fair.

Students had to come up with a price for their game, prize money, make sure it was engaging and people wanted to play it.

Students also looked into the idea of theoretical and experimental probability and discussed how fair these types of games actually are.

At lunchtime over the thee days, the Hall was open and staff and students were invited in to play the games. They were given tokens and had to pay, to play each game and if they won enough tokens by the end of lunch, then they were awarded a showbag prize.

Thank you to Mr Moore for organizing the fair.
