INTRODUCINGOUR NEWEST FTA COACHING STAFF

HEAD COACH: Timothy Dakis (AFC B Licence accredited)

FEMALE COACH: Olivia Grooves (AFC C - in completion )

We are very excited to announce the appointment of Timothy Dakis as Head coach and Olivia Grooves as the first Female coach of the FTA Carwatha College P-12 school football program.

Tim brings a wealth of football knowledge and understanding of youth development who will lead our program to improve the football values and skills of our young players. Tim is the current NPL Nunnawading FC Miniroos Technical Director and head foundation coach for the National Skill Acquisition Program and also leads the development of U12/13/14 junior players for over 10 years .

Other experiences include FC Barcelona Academy coach, Tim is also part of the Australian national team for Deaf Football Australia. He has also held coaching roles in high performance at the FFV Champions League program for over 5 years and heads the Junior school football program at Caulfield Grammar School also for over 10 years. Tim is a very passionate football coach and a true professional in his work.

Olivia is the U16s NPLW coach at Southern United FC and is also part of the miniroos program at Nunawading FC. Olivia is also an NPLW Female player herself and will lead our young girls into the path of women’s football.

Both Tim & Olivia are super excited and look forward to working with all of the children.

PRE ACTIVATION TRAINING PROGRAM

Last week our students commenced a pre activation training program with our new coaching staff before their training session outside. All students were involved in learning specific stretching techniques and how to increase performance and decrease potential injury. The goal of the program is to teach our students how to prepare prior to training to get the best out of themselves. See our players in action below.
