International Primary Students

Our new Primary International students have settled into life at Carwatha College P-12 and are quickly learning all about school in Australia. We have been learning how to say hello, introduce ourselves and respond to someone when they ask us how we are.

We have also been learning about the different objects that we use in the classroom and we have been busy exploring the different places in our school.

We have had lessons in the library, computer lab, small gym and we made Gingerbread Men in the MPC. International Students enjoyed the Multicultural Assembly .

We found the green sheep! And the red sheep, blue sheep, purple sheep, yellow sheep and brown sheep too! We have really enjoyed having lots of books read to us. ‘The Three Little Pigs’ saw us making houses from straw, ‘Elmer’ saw us making our own colourful elephants and ‘Paint a Rainbow’ had us melting coloured ice cubes to make different colours! We have been learning to throw and catch different sized balls in PE. We have been looking at the concepts of bigger and smaller in Maths and we have been learning the English names for body parts. The students have also been learning how to plant trees and care for their environment. They had fun digging, watering and looking for worms!
