2019 BRPS House Athletics Carnival

On Wednesday the 21st of August the students from the upper school competed at the annual “Black Rock PS House Athletics Carnival”.

Despite the weather predicted to be horrible, it was an absolute cracker of a day for all!

The students started with the 1500m races followed by the hurdles. Then on to the rotation groups of long jump, triple jump, high jump, shot-put, discus, 100m sprints and 200m sprints.  After a little break the students finished with the 800m running and 4x100m relays.

There were some tremendous performances on the day and some amazing sportsmanship seen by many parents and teachers. We like to congratulate all the students in their efforts and thank them for such a fantastic day. We would also like to thank all the parent helpers on the day, without them we would not be able to run the event.

The top performers in each event now go on to perform at the “2019 Seaside District Athletics Carnival” at Duncan McKinnon Athletics Track on Wednesday September 11th. We wish them the best of luck.
