Fete wrap-up

Best Fete Ever- Wrap Up!

Well what a magnificent day weather wise. The sun was out and so were the smiles.

The rides were a hit. Who can resist ride on the dodgem cars or the big slide.

The coffee and cake stalls were very popular early on and we all loved our alliterations and special comments from the grade one children. The stilt walkers thrilled us and we were amazed by the silent auction items.

The Choc-a-Block stall was very popular early on and you had to get in quick for the amazing showbags.

With families shopping in the market area many students headed to the smoothie machine for a healthy fruit smoothie, with a new crazy hair do and a tatt or two.

Parents were thrilled that they could organize the Christmas pud so early and then it was time for a relaxing Devonshire Tea next to the plants. After a quick shop in the second hand books and toys it was off to the oval for a snow cone before drenching the teachers on the waterbombs. That was hot work so a nice snow cone cooled everyone down.

It was time for the handball competition before the deep rumbling of the snorkel unit from the Fire Department and the SES trucks. The police also organized a fly over from the chopper squad.

With lunch of baked potatoes, sliders or a sausage in bread it was time to sit and relax and watch the talent show with a glass of something cold.

At the end of the day the clean up crew started their work and the fete was all packed away for another 2 years.

Thank you to the fete committee for the planning and organising of this fantastic event.  It was our best fete ever.  Thanks to our sponsors and those who donated goods. Thanks also to all who helped out and volunteered their time. Thanks for encouraging our community to attend.

The amount raised at the fete is still to be finalised but it looks like we raised over $65,000-

What an amazing effort. The money will be used to pay for our stage and also develop our exciting  new STEM Centre.
