Grade 3B News

Religion
This term, we have been looking at values. We have discussed and reflected on our personal values and the important values that everyone is entitled for. We have now read some stories for the New testament and reflected on the action Jesus was telling us to take. The children have done a fantastic job illustrating these ready to present.
We have also been learning about Project Compassion. We have set a class goal and are working hard to achieve it and the students have been very creative in their ways of raising money.
Maths
In the last few weeks, we have been learning our times tables through song. We have had a great time listening to parodies of well known songs redone so we can better learn. These song are so catchy you’ll be singing them in your sleep! We have also been learning about time and trying to calculate our total literacy time in a week from our timetable. It was really challenging, however the students embraced and rose to the challenge!
Wellbeing
Yes it was a couple of weeks ago. The children were very proud of their Anti- Bullying “Bully Buster” video. They worked hard to learn their lines and create their costumes. We use the slogan “THINK before you speak. THINK is an acronym.
We ask ourselves:
T- Is it True?
H- Is it helpful?
I- Is it Inspiring?
N- Is it Necessary?
K- Is it Kind?
It has been a very helpful way to remind ourselves to be kind.
