P14 Learning about Different

We have been reading lots of ELMER THE ELEPHANT books and discussing how we are different from other people.

Some people have blue eyes and some have brown or green eyes.

We are all unique in our own special ways. 

We made our own unique ELMER THE ELEPHANT and decorated it with many colours.

Some are multicoloured and some have a colour theme.

As a culmination of the week, we wrote about what is special and unique about each of us.

We love that each person is different.

HASS and STEM Studies in F12

As a part of our HASS and STEM studies, the students in F12 have been making models of sustainable houses. 

We started by learning about floor plans and investigating scale in Maths. We used floor plan creators and graph paper to create our own designs. We then collected our own recycled resources from home to build our dwellings. We have been considering solar power, rainwater collection and the best building materials to use in our constructions. We haven't quite finished yet but we have taken photos of some that are almost done.
