At Eastbank, Father Rob was performing on stage.  There were heaps of schools and it was very loud.  Father Rob was singing songs about Jesus and God.  There were 5 people on stage. One guy was playing drums, a girl was playing the  piano, and the other guys were playing electric guitar.  Father Rob was singing while he was playing his guitar.

Today we went to Eastbank to watch Father Rob sing some songs about Jesus.  He also told us about his childhood. We had to walk there and when we got there we had to sit in seats. There were other schools there too. When it started everyone was cheering, it was very loud. He sang a bunch of his songs. All the schools sat in their own spots.  When it was done we had to walk back to school.

St Brendan's Feast Day- May 16th

Next Friday our school will celebrate the Feast of our Patron Saint, St. Brendan.  St Brendan's Feast Day is on 16th May.

St. Brendan is honored as the Patron Saint of boatmen, mariners, sailors, travelers and whales.  St. Brendan had courage and spread the good news to people when he sailed for seven years to many countries.

Next Friday the students will begin their Feast Day celebrations with a prayer and song about St Brendan, and then they will be involved in a Fun Run, organised by the Parents and Friends.

The students will then have organised activities in their classroom celebrating the story of

St. Brendan. We look forward to the fun festivities of the day.

Thank you to our Parents and Friends for all their organisation.

Happy St. Brendan’s Feast Day!
