ST. BRENDAN’S SOCCER CLUB

SOCCER SEASONG LAUNCH 2022

It was with much excitement and anticipation that 92 players from St. Brendan’s Soccer Club took to the pitches on Saturday, to play their first game of the season.

The weather was fantastic, and it was wonderful to see so many players and their families getting into the spirit and enjoying playing soccer, whether they be a returning player, or a brand new one!

There were many goals scored, some big wins and losses, but I think everyone will agree, the feelings of adrenaline and happiness were the overwhelming winner!

A huge thank you to all the parents who have assisted in getting this off the ground, a massive task this year due to COVID and the sheer number of players. Many people have stepped up to the plate to fill different roles, and our players would not be able to participate, without your assistance.

Also we would like to put out one final request for any jumper orders for Netball/Soccer Clubs.

FUNDRAISING BBQ THANK YOU!

On Sunday, 1st May, St. Brendan’s Soccer Club hosted a Bunnings BBQ to raise funds for our club. The weather was kind to us, with plenty of shoppers supporting our cause, resulting in close to $1000 profit for our club.

The money we have raised will be used to purchase additional soccer jerseys, since we have close to 100 players and we need to replenish our supply.

My heartfelt thanks to all the adults who came along and flipped a snag or served a customer, it was lots of fun and certainly made the day a huge success. Without these people’s help, our event would never have even been able to go ahead.
