ANZAC Assembly

On Monday 2nd May the college held our ANZAC Assembly.  Led by our College Captains and Vice Captains, Taylah, Sahil, Amy and Norah, the assembly was a moving tribute to honour the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.

The Captains spoke of the importance of ANZAC day and informed the students as to why the day is celebrated in both Australia and New Zealand on the 25th of April every year.

We were honoured to have veteran Ray Fryer address the assembly with his stories and experiences of war.  The college was proud to present Ray with a donation for the Cheltenham-Moorabbin and Highett RSLs.

The assembly was made even more moving with the musical talents of the Senior Concert band performing Padrie's Prayerand the Australian National Anthem and the highlight was Joshua S. playing The Last Post

Wreaths were laid during the assembly and were later placed around the college's flag pole that flies the Australian flag.

Lest We Forget.
