From the Principal

Welcome to Term 2, I hope you and your families had a wonderful break.

The students have settled back into school life extremely, hit the ground running, and picked up right where they left off in Term 1.

We started the term with our College Open Night for prospective families on Wednesday (27th April) - and what a great success that was, a big thank you to all students and staff who assisted in the lead-up and on the night and to the greater community that visited the college on the night.

Our first whole school assembly was held this week, it was fantastic to finally have all our students together under one roof. Our ANZAC assembly is an important date within our calendar, it is an opportunity for all of us to reflect on the devastation of conflict and pay respect to those who have served.

I would like to thank Ray Fryer from the Cheltenham RSL for speaking to our students about why ANZAC Day is important for him and sharing his life experiences as a member of the armed services.

There has been an abundance of co-curricular programs taking place already this term, sport, rehearsals continue for our college production, Grease the Musical, and the list goes on.  You can read more about these activities later on in this newsletter.

Term 2 sees a lot of programs and activities across all year levels including; camps, NAPLAN, sporting events, exams, music concerts, and Year 10 work experience.

I hope you have had a chance to look at our new college website, this is a great source of information.  Although it is not fully complete, please check regularly as updates and more information are uploaded constantly.

Can I please remind families that students are expected to wear the College uniform while travelling to and from the college. Nike tracksuit pants, basketball shoes, hoodies, runners and footy beanies are not part of the uniform.
