Basketball Results

Year 4/5 GS Raptors

The GS Raptors had a convincing 34-2 win over the Prescott Storm Thursday afternoon.  It was great to see the team pass to each other and share the ball around as they attempted to ensure all team members scored a basket.  An all round great team effort.

Scorers: Jayden (20 pts), Jacob, Oscar and Blake (4 pts each), Ronan (2 pts)

Year 2/3 GS Thunder

GS Thunder played a great game this week against the Cubs. Jonte was a stand-out offensive player scoring some excellent shots for the team. Rowdy did some great steals and showed considerable speed up and down the court. It was good to see their teamwork improving with some great passes by the team. Hunter did a good job driving the ball forward and Anhad showed more confidence in her dribbling skills.

Thunder continued to show improvement in their defence, with Raewyn positioning herself well under the ring and Jessica showed tenacity on court. It was a very close game but despite their best efforts the final score was 9-13.

Scorers: Jonte (7pts) and Hunter (2pts).

Year 5/6 GS Nets

Thursday afternoon saw us play against our fellow school team, the GS Shooters once again.

Another extremely competitive game between the two GS teams, although the end result of 7-28 didn’t exactly represent the team’s true effort, as again playing with only 5 players.

Luke played his first game after returning from injury and he scored his first 2 goals of the season.  Edward showed tremendous effort in defence and Levi took some great rebounds.

Scorers: Luke (4 pts), Edward (2 pts) and Elijah (1 pt).
