washed clean

For this week’s worship, we had Eve (Youth Worker from Endeavour College) share with us a great visual reminder of what Jesus’ sacrifice as Easter means for us. Please follow the link below to watch her message.

While the science experiment she used was simply a chemical reaction, it was perfect for demonstrating the power of Jesus in our lives.

All of us sin, have messed up and are imperfect…stained beyond repair as the dirty water in the experiment depicted. Even when we try ourselves to ‘right our wrongs’, we find it is impossible. It is only when we allow Jesus to come into our lives that we are cleansed and purified. This is shown in the experiment as our ‘dirty water’ is cleaned.

Once Jesus lives in us, sin can no longer tarnish us in the eyes of God. The blood that Jesus shed on the cross washes us white as snow.

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.”
