Principal's Report

Term 3

On Tuesday 9th of August we were pleased to host the Victorian Minister for Education, Natalie Hutchins, and the State Member for Bundoora, Colin Brooks, at our school. Unfortunately, the visited coincided with our parent-teacher interview day so our students were not at school to show off their learning. Thanks to Will and Kaitlin who made the special effort to come to school and represent our students. As can be seen from the photos below, the Minister’s were here to celebrate our building works and to see how the $10 million of government funding will be spent.

Invitation to Participate in the 2022 Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey

Our school is conducting a survey to find out what parents/caregivers/guardians think of our school.

The Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education and Training that is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behavior, and student engagement. We encourage all families to participate in this survey. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.  Please be assured that your responses are completely confidential. The survey is conducted anonymously, and it is important to us that you complete the survey as honestly as possible. The survey will be conducted online and should take 20 minutes to complete.

Please see my Compass post from last week that contains the link and PIN number to complete the survey.

Uniform

A reminder that Concord School has a strict uniform policy and it is expected that all students wear the correct uniform each day. At this time of the year the main issue is regarding the wearing of non-uniform hoodies and jackets. Please contact the office if your child requires a school jumper, windcheater or rugby top.
