Positive feedback

Term 3

It’s been very positive over the last two weeks witnessing so many different things around our school:

  • staff supporting and representing students, families, the community and each other;
  • students supporting students;
  • people coming together to deal with a variety of situations;
  • witnessing student pride through fundraising and collaboration;
  • witnessing staff’s pride in our students;
  • students again being able to get out and enjoy the environment beyond our fences.

In what is leading into the busy time of the year, particularly for our senior students, we have a positive sense of community, pride and commitment. Please encourage your student at this time to talk to teachers and support staff if they require support. Our school has a network of people to assist.

STUDENT REFLECTION ROOM

As we work our way through our processes and procedures and continue to increase family involvement in students’ education and student responsibility and accountability for their choices, we would like to make you aware that from the start of next term the following message will be sent via XUNO to parents/guardians of any student sent to the Reflection Room:

Epping Secondary College has been informed that your child has been exited from class to the school’s staffed Student Reflection Room.

Please ensure a conversation with them at the end of the school day, in supporting and ensuring our school values are upheld.

Epping Secondary College welcomes parent/guardian contact in supporting a positive learning environment.

Student Coordinators will be informing students of this via assemblies over the coming weeks.

If you have any queries about this, please don’t hesitate to contact the school.
