Incredible Dodgeball Tournament

!!THE INCREDIBLE DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT!!

The VCAL 12W Class organised a remarkable dodgeball tournament for their work related and personal development project with Year 8-12 students in week 8 over a three-day period (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday). The students displayed great communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills to successfully plan and implement part 1 of their complex project.

In the tournament 12W students coordinated over 100 players participating during lunch times. The students also engaged and supervised around 50 plus spectators each day. Under Ali Hussaini’s leadership, the 12 W students actively played their roles as referees, door security, first aid, risk assessors, equipment handlers, housekeeping, etc. to ensure that all the rules and regulations of the game were correctly followed and everyone in the gym had a great time during this fun friendly match.

The students of 12W appreciates the support provided by Ms Chahal, Mr Marchbank and Mr Harper in planning, risk assessments and their active supervision throughout the tournament.

The students would also like to extend their massive thanks to Year 8-12 students, they could have not done the tournament without the dedication of participants and audience. The gym was house full and everyone had a ball. The 12 W’s were surely able to achieve their goal by effectively delivering this Wellbeing sport to raise awareness about Mental Health in our school community.

VCAL 12 W team is proud to announce that Year 10 ‘s team won the tournament (list attached).
