Year 4/5 GS Warriors

The Good Shepherd 4/5 Warriors Basketball team finished the term last week with the ‘local derby’ against the GS Nets, winning in a well fought contest 24-12. We are currently 3rd on the ladder with 4 wins, 1 loss, and 1 draw.

Julian has been a great addition to the team this term, with his height a great advantage. Ashrith has continued as an attacking weapon, leading the scoring comfortably, with great back-up from Elijah.

The whole team has continued to become more confident and have developed their skills throughout the year, particularly in defence. Most improved this term have been Jasreet and Kareem, with continued development especially in defence from Ronil, Tatem, and Wade. Great work team!

U11 GS Lightning Bolts

SEMI FINAL: Last Friday the Lightning Bolts came prepared to give it their all. Right from the start of the semi final, against St Francis Sapphires, the team showed great focus and determination. They had their best first quarter this season, opening up an 18 goal lead. Their concentration and stellar team work continued throughout the game, finishing in front 39-2. The team will have to put in an even more courageous effort this Friday and they face off in the Grand Final. Well done everyone - It's only through working as a team that you've come this far.
