Principal News

Lord God, no one is a stranger to you and no one is ever far from your loving care.

A reading from the Letter of Saint Paul to the Philippians 4:6-7

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don't forget to thank Him for His answers. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ.

To our Graduating Year Twelve Class of 2021…

We pray that their journey, with all its ups and downs, twists and turns, will be joyful. We pray that they will always sense that the Lord is near them, that the peace of God who is beyond our understanding will guard their hearts and thoughts in Jesus Christ.

Amen

Dear Parents, Students and Friends,

It was great to see the return of our students this week and seeing the happy faces around the college. I was pleased to see so many students engaging in online learning and a big thank you to parents for their support during this time.

Year 11  assessment/examinations were held online this week, thank you to all staff involved with their work around ensuring this process was successful.

Year 12 will be farewelled on Friday 8 October in the College Hall. The gathering will commence with a Blessing Mass commencing 10:00 am celebrated by College Chaplain, Fr Paul, followed by their final Academic Assembly at 12:00 pm. Due to Covid restrictions, only Year 12 will be in the hall, with a handful of selected Year 11 students and Year 12 staff.

The event will be live-streamed so that parents will be able to watch through the College Facebook page.

Thank you to Year Co ordinator Mr Morris, homeroom and class teachers for their hard work and dedication in supporting Year 12 students throughout their school years at MCC. We wish them well and every success as they prepare for their HSC Exams.

Year 12 Class of 2021
Year 12 Class of 2021

There will be no revision sessions held over the holiday break to give our students a well-earned break from their studies.  Students will be able to return in Term 4 for scheduled revision sessions with their teachers.  This is possible as the HSC date has now been postponed to commence on 9 November.

Please note that students will commence Term 4 on Wednesday 6 October.   Staff return on Tuesday 5 October to conduct Professional Learning and to move into the completed staff centre.  The College Office will remain at the current site for term 4, relocation to new premises will commence in January 2022.

Have a safe and relaxing break and I look forward to seeing you all back for our last term.

Peace and Best Wishes
