Would you like to join a WhatsApp chat group for SMPS?

If you have recently joined SMPS, or if you are a current parent or carer and would like to join any of the WhatsApp chat groups, please contact Doug, one of the SMPS Family & Friends group members, via WhatsApp or SMS on 0437-351-194. Doug is one of the SMPS WhatsApp chat groups administrators and can assist you join.

• Option 1 - SMPS Friends chat group

This group is open to past or present parents and carers of SMPS students.

This is a group of more than 210 participants keen to keep in touch on topics relating to all SMPS grade levels.

• Option 2 - Grade chat group

These groups are open to parents and carers of children currently attending SMPS.

These six groups are grade specific chat groups. Each group relates to a specific grade. The six groups are: Prep, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grades 3 & 4, Grade 5, and Grade 6.

When your child leaves SMPS, you will need to leave the Grade chat group concerned, but you are most welcome to stay with or join SMPS Friends chat group as a means of keeping in touch with friends you have made at school.

‼️ Please note: These informal chat groups are completely independent of SMPS teachers and staff. You should continue to rely on Compass newsfeeds and the SMPS newsletter for SMPS information.

Second Hand Uniform Shop (SHUS)

The SMPS SHUS is run by volunteer parents and carers of current SMPS students. 

Our 'contactless' SHUS has been running well over the past couple of weeks, and will continue to operate until the end of the year.

If you would like to enquire about second hand uniform items, please follow these steps:

Step 1

Please email smps.faf@outlook.com with the below details.  

• Your name
• Your phone number
• The item/s you need
• The size/s you need
• How many you need

Step 2

You will receive a rely email advising if we have the items in stock.

Step 3

You will be asked to telephone the school, (ph: 9935 9399), so the wonderful Kirsty or Emma can process your payment, (CARD ONLY).

Step 4

You will be invited to collect the items from one of the Family & Friends members at school on Thursdays between 3.15pm-3.45pm, at SMPS's front gates. 

If your child will be with the amazing OSH team on Thursdays, arrangements can be made to have the items delivered to your child there.

Leaving SMPS? SHUS Donations

If you are leaving SMPS at the end of 2021, we trust that you thoroughly enjoyed your time here and we wish you well.

Grade 6 students will be moving on as a matter of course in December. Best wishes to you all as you start your secondary school adventure! 

To all families leaving SMPS this year, we ask if you would kindly consider donating any SMPS school uniform you no longer need to the SHUS. 

The SHUS is desperately in need of the larger-sized uniforms, but all sizes are gratefully accepted.

Under current COVID protocols, the best way to deliver no-longer-needed uniform will be to put it in a bag and ask your child to deliver it to Emma or Kirsty at the school's reception office. Alternatively, ring Emma or Kirsty from the main gate and ask them to come out and collect the bag of clothing from you.

As you can see from the price list above, the SHUS sell pre-loved uniform at very affordable prices. The SHUS has proved to be a very welcome service, and has been well supported. Thank you very much to everyone who has donated in the past!

The SHUS is a fund raiser for SMPS. All proceeds go to the school to benefit the students. We're currently raising money for some colourful playground markings.
