From the

Principal

Dear Parents / Carers,

Our welcome back to school barbeque and parent information night were well attended and provided a very positive start to the year.

We thank the crew from Barry Plant in Rowville for providing and cooking the food on the night.

Our student leaders have reported on the start to school in their news program titled, The Friday Program which can be viewed on the link below.

The 2023 swimming team was announced at the Friday assembly and presented with their swimming caps. I would like to congratulate Eva, Laura and Zac for being selected as captains of the team. They have been training at 7.00am at Paul Sadler Swimland.  I acknowledge Mrs Macdonald, Ms Groves and Mrs Welti on leading the training. We all wish the team well when they participate at the Kilsyth Centenary Pool this Friday.

Nominations for School Council opened last week. Completed nomination forms are due before 4.00pm on Friday 24 February. Being a member of School Council presents parents with an opportunity to be involved in the governance of our school. The functions of a School Council are outlined in the Education and Training Reform Act 2006. Nomination forms are available on Compass and at the school office.

The Paratea Drive carpark is for staff parking. A boom gate is due to be erected in the coming weeks to limit the use of the carpark and to ensure the safety of students. The gate will be closed from 8.15-9.30am and from 2.15-3.45pm.

Kind regards,

Anne Babich

Principal
