Mr. Nick Shirrefs, Ms. Lauren Arnett & Mr Hugh Kirne

Welcome to another year of Music making at Horsham College!

For our returning Instrumental students, we can’t wait to get Instrumental Lessons and ensembles back up and running in Week 4. For our new students in Year 7 in particular, we give you a warm welcome and look forward to setting you up for your first ever instrumental lessons in the coming weeks!

The Music Department would like to give another warm welcome to our newest staff member, Mr Hugh Kirne. He teaches 7-9 classroom music and instrumental guitar. He is an experienced gigging musician from the Melbourne music scene and is a lover of classic rock and jazz fusion. Get in quick for guitar lessons with Mr Kirne!

On an exciting note, the Music Department will be moving for the final time to our permanent home in the coming weeks. We have been keenly watching on as the refurbished T3 classroom in the Technology Wing gets TVs mounted, carpet laid down, and cool blue acoustic panelling mounted to the walls. Currently all of our operations (including instrumental lessons, classroom music and ensembles) are out of the classrooms A1 and A2 (near Admin), but keep an eye out for when we move to our new digs in T3!
