Eucalyptus House

We warmly welcome you back to Dandenong High School and Eucalyptus House, as the focus for 2023 is ‘Rebuilding our Community.’ 

Students and staff have settled into a busy first term. Student learning and achievement will continue to dominate the work of teachers as we look forward to seeing and hearing about the amazing learning our students will experience this year. We will work towards our school goals, with a focus on student learning and improving numeracy. Teachers will differentiate their practice to maximise student learning growth and resources will be available to support students’ wellbeing. There will also be opportunities for students to participate in a range of co curricular programs and events. The first major whole school event will be the Swimming Carnival later this month. We look forward to seeing as many of our students participate in the spirit of competition.   

The Eucalyptus Leadership Team this year is made up of Ms Katsoulis (House Leader), Ms John (Assistant House Leader) and Ms Vengilat (Student Engagement Coordinator). Mrs Barton continues in her role as House Administration Officer and parents/caregivers are encouraged to contact us if they require support for their child. We welcome back the following staff to Eucalyptus house – Ms Mackay, Mr Herd, Mr Kafrouni, Ms Curnow, Ms Sreedharan, Ms Sparks, Ms Di Mascolo, Mr Gulzari, Mr Christoffelsz, Ms Farahani, Ms Sellenger, Mr Collins and Mr Singh. We also welcome two new staff to the house - Mr Zhang and Ms Palmer. 

It is a tradition of the school to acknowledge the student leaders for the year at a whole school Badges Assembly this term. The Eucalyptus House Captains for 2023 are Asra H and Olia S. Congratulations to them and to Madina M who was elected as one of the School Captains. We look forward to presenting each of them with their badge at the assembly and wish them a successful and rewarding year ahead. The election of the SRC Representatives will soon take place and the successful candidates will also be presented with their badge. 

In this year of opportunity, we are excited to see what 2023 brings for us as a community of learners. We look forward to working with you all and to celebrating student achievements throughout the year.
