College Counsellor

Mrs Leanne Miller

We would like to welcome new families to GNLC and introduce you to the unique resource that is SchoolTV.

Today parents face a multitude of modern-day challenges in raising happy, well and resilient young people. Whilst there is a great deal of information available, this can often be confusing and overwhelming for parents looking for guidance.  SchoolTV is an online resource, designed to empower you as parents with credible and sound information with realistic, practical ongoing support strategies.

The well-being team encourages families to view and explore SchoolTV where you will find editions such as:

              School Transitions

              Surviving Final Year

              School Refusal

              Managing Screen Time

Or Special Reports such as:

              Moving to a New School

              Surviving The Final Year

              Starting Year 7

              Diet/Nutrition

SchoolTV well-being barometer survey

We would also like to encourage all parents and carers to take a few moments to complete this survey.

The information gathered will help our school gauge the state of students' well-being, and enable us to discover where further assistance may be required by focusing on some of the key issues. By working together, we can continue to build relationships, foster connections, enable understanding and break down barriers, as we navigate the pathway toward better mental health and well-being for all students.

If you do have any concerns about the well-being of your child, please contact the school for further information or seek medical or professional help.
