Beverly Nguyen

Hello! I'm Beverly Nguyen, Generalist Primary Teacher of Years 4 and 5 this year at Macleod College. I first taught at Macleod from 2019-2020, where I've taught from Prep - Year 6. I've also worked in Numeracy support in the senior years during this time. I jumped at the opportunity to return to such a wonderful school community, and I am beyond excited for what lies in store for 2023.

Katie Crawford

Hi, I’m Katie Crawford, and I’m so excited to have joined Macleod College. If you’ve heard the rumors that there is a teacher who is a “doctor” at Macleod - it’s true! Before becoming a teacher, I completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Genetics and was a science researcher at La Trobe University. More recently I taught at Mount Ridley College, and this year I am teaching biology, science and maths at Macleod.

In my spare time, I like spending quality time with my family including my son, Rory, and furbabies. I look forward to getting to know everyone in the Macleod college community.

Kim Mansfield

I live locally and am the busy mum of two children – Archie and Mabel.   Prior to working at Macleod College, I worked at a Chinese Medical Centre (acupuncture etc) and before that as the PSD Coordinator at Bundoora Secondary College.  I don’t really have any hobbies (apart from gardening) because weekends and weeknights are spent ferrying kids around to various sporting activities, work and play dates.  At home, we have the most spoilt pet rabbit – an 8 year old black dwarf lop eared bunny named Puddle.

Stefan Baumgartner

Guten Tag!

My name is Stefan Baumgartner, the new German teacher. I am very excited for the coming year, getting to know you all and sharing my passion for languages with the Macleod College community.

The scoop on me:

I come from Switzerland and was a teacher there for 20 years before moving to Australia nearly two years ago.

I am married to an amazing Australian woman, and we have a son and two daughters. I love spending time with my wonderful family and in my (rare) spare time I enjoy reading a good book, playing ice hockey and discovering new places and cultures.

I am really looking forward to a year full of new experiences with you all.
