My name is Ryan. I come from China. I have been studying at Macleod College Intensive English Language Centre (IELC) for two weeks. I would like to tell you about my experience. We learn many things about Australia. We learn Australia history, many new English words, how to play badminton, how to use the Beebots. And we visit many places such as; the Macleod gym, the school library, and the stadium. It has been very interesting. One thing I have found easy is to make new friends and play badminton. One thing I have found difficult is spelling new word.
My name is Cindy. I come from China. I have been studying at Macleod College Intensive English Language Centre (IELC) for two weeks. I would like to tell you about my experience. I’m making many new friends and learning many new things. During film time, I see some Australian animals. We study English with Mrs Ketty. Art with Mr Griffiths. PE with Mrs Spinks. Yesterday is Valentine's Day. We play ‘minute to win it’ games in the library. Everything game was fun. One thing I have found easy is drawing pictures. One thing I have found difficult is speaking English in class.
My name is Peter. I come from Vietnam. I have been studying at Macleod College Intensive English Language Centre (IELC) for two weeks. I would like to tell you about my experience visit to YMCA. With my classmates and Ms Colleen, we walked a long way to the Macleod YMCA. I felt it was very interesting. In PE with Mrs Spinks, my classmates and I play basketball and badminton. One thing I have found easy is learning to spell using the ‘Look/Say/Cover/Write/Check’ spelling strategy. One thing I have found difficult is pronunciation and listening to my friends and teacher speak English.

I have learned about Australian history. The first people in Australia are the Aboriginal people. I like making BeeBots move with Mrs Mitchell. One thing I have found easy is making friends. One thing I have found difficult is speaking English in class. It is so hard.

I learnt about Australian history with Mrs Ketty, and I learnt about some animals in Australia. I learnt math with Mrs Wan. I learnt many new words in class. Mr Griffiths tells us about music beats. Mrs Mitchell shows us how to move Beebots. We visited the Macleod gym with Mrs Colleen. When I learn new mathematical words with Mrs Wan, I am so happy. One thing I have found easy is spelling new words. One thing I have found difficult is learning Australian history.

My name is Bardia. I come from Iran but I lived in Turkey for 6 years. I have been studying at the Macleod College Intensive English Language Centre (IELC) for two weeks. I would like to tell you about my experience. I learnt many new words and I added them to my vocabulary bank. I made new friends at Macleod College from Australia, Iran, and Asian countries. I learnt new things for music like beats with Mr Griffiths. I learnt Australian history and animals from Ms.Ketty and I learned grammar such as the different kinds of nouns from Ms.Wan. One thing I have found easy is to visit interesting places, enjoy your time with others and alone. I like learning about other countries. One thing I have found difficult is that spelling of some words is sometimes so hard but we can learn it very fast and easily. And sometimes it's too hard to be strong and be always happy.

When I first came here, fortunately, everyone is friendly to me. That gives me confidence. With the help of teachers and classmates, I adapt to the new environment rapidly. We learn many subjects like PE, Art and Music. Now I know about Australian history, some new English words, music beats. I enjoy the world of knowledge very much. One thing I have found easy is Maths. We learn it much more slowly than in China. One thing I have found difficult is playing badminton as I have only played it 3 times. In the future, I will keep on trying my best to study and having a good time at school.

We also went out for a walk with Ms Colleen, which was very interesting. What’s more, we played music with Mr Griffiths. We played Beebots with Ms Mitchell as well. One thing I have found easy is playing basketball with new friends. One thing I have found difficult is sometimes I cannot express myself very well.
