Music is Fun Band was Fun!

It was with great excitement and joy to have Music is Fun Band entertain the Magill reception to year 5 students on Thursday 30th of March. Andre and his extraordinary talented musicians had a song favourite for all ages with many toe taping beats and sing along tunes. The colourful and creative costumes worn with smiles by our students performing in front of their peers and teachers were some of the best we have ever seen from this touring group. 

All in attendance were definitely entertained by the songs, the funky town dance troupe, the humorous actions and the joy of The Arts at Magill School in the spotlight. 

Jon Madin Visits Magill

Jon Madin is a musician and composer, and the inventor of some whacky tuned percussion instruments. As part of Performing Arts with Georgea and Milda, Jon was invited to Magill School and workshopped with the Year 3 and 4 cohorts along with F11 and F14 classes, teaching them songs on a variety of instruments. At the end of the day, all of the classes held a mini concert showcasing their performances. It was a fantastic experience and we had so much fun learning while making music!
