Holy Week and Easter

Last week the Year 5 and 6 students have helped our community celebrate Holy Week.

Year 5 students practiced for many weeks to prepare a Palm Sunday liturgy in the form of a play. Children learnt their lines and presented the short play with reverence and commitment.

Year 6 students helped to commemorate the stations of the Cross with a reflective liturgy. The Year 6 students tried to convey the contemporary messages of the Way of the Cross. This prayer service not only remembers the past events but also provokes us to consider how to live the message of each station today.

We are now in the Church's great season of Easter.  Happy Easter to all our families and Easter blessings to you all.  As Pope John Paul II said, we are Easter people and Alleluia is our song.  Look to the future with hope, gratitude, and love in your hearts. Jesus came to take away our sins and reconcile us to God, so let us now live up to the grace given in this covenant and treat others as we wish to be treated and ask for forgiveness when we are required so we may live in the light and be fully human and fully alive.
