Never Never Gates

Most families will know that the gates, or lack thereof, to both our staff car parks are referred to as the Never Never Gates. The reason for this - is that students and families are to Never Never access our school grounds via these entry points.

It saddens us to say that we have also had families driving in to the east side car park (playground side) to drop off and pick up their children, with one incident being what we are referring to as a 'near miss', with cars coming and going as well as students (and their parents) using these entry points.  There is only one family, the Healy Family, who have permission to use the car parks for pick up and drop off purposes.

Please do not use the car park entrance points as a means to access the school grounds.

Smile Squad - Free Student Dental Packs

This week your child will have received a Smile Squad dental pack. The pack includes all the tools your child needs for good oral health – a full sized tube of toothpaste, a toothbrush, and a brochure full of helpful hints and tips for a healthy smile.

Smile Squad is a Victorian Government program that provides free dental care to all primary, secondary and specialist school students enrolled in government schools across Victoria. Smile Squad will be visiting our school in the future but are not ready just yet.

For more information on the program, you can visit the Smile Squad website at: www.smilesquad.vic.gov.au

Headlice

Unfortunately headlice is a regular feature throughout our children's school years. We ask families to always be on the 'look out' for headlice in your child/rens hair. Itching can be a very tell-tale symptom of an occurrence of headlice.

Please notify the office of any instances of lice found in your child/rens hair. Be assured any reports of headlice will be kept confidential. Children are welcome back to school after completing a course of hair treatment.
