Multiage –Celebrating Learning

Making Anzac biscuits after reading the ANZAC Biscuits book was a great way to start Term 2!

They were delicious!

Robyn, our Wellbeing Teacher from Croxton brought her Therapy Dog Mahli over to work with our Multi-Age class on our Respectful Relationships Program. We talked about emotions and the Zones of Regulation because Mahli was scared and nervous when she arrived so we looked at ways we could help her to calm down. We were quiet and we let her sniff around the room and then we gave her a treat each and then some pats and she was very happy and calm.

Some people were also a bit scared at first, but when they felt confident, they were patting Mahli as well.

Mahli is very clever because she showed us some tricks like begging, Hi-5s and spinning. Then we took her to the park and she was chasing the ball and jumping very high. It was great fun and we can’t wait until next time she comes.     By Multiage

This term our Integrated topic is “People and Places” and in Maths we are doing location activities, so our terrific Pre-service teacher Ashlea gave a combined lesson where the students drew Birds Eye View plans of their bedrooms and then had lots of fun making a 3D dream bedroom out of Lego with a partner.
